Production News; H and Victim Convenience (Dance To Mix) Music Video December 17, 2007
Ha! I just love these news posts.
Here's how it works out. End of Everything is going to continue to enjoy a healthy life on my slate of scripts for potential future productions, living alongside Stranger and Horror Show (new script). Admittedly, I've never had this many shootable scripts handy before, so it's a nice change of pace. We're going to try and shoot Sleepless, a sequel to Sleep, over the next couple of weeks. It's a very small script with a very minimal cast in which I'll be playing the lead. Over the past quarter, I put together several short videos for a production class. Most of these are of minimal value, but the dramatic re-cut of 6th Commandment was completed under the new title H, and a music video for the song Victim Convenience (Dance To Mix) by The Faint was shot and edited in HD. I also produced a smaller but still very enjoyable project titled craigslist.org Casual Encounters of the San Diego Area, As Read to You by Dustin Sklavos. That may materialize on this site at some point. I've also re-written my bio to be more "accessible."
End of Everything Postponed; Stranger in Pre-Production July 23, 2007
The End of Everything project has been put on hold due to casting woes; it's entirely likely we will attempt it again in the Fall 2007 quarter where it's a natural fit for a class project. Stranger is in pre-production again and hopefully we'll be able to get it cast and going this summer. The 2007-2008 school year will be a busy one that may or may not see changes to the site (and to my own work); I've taken over as an intern for one of the campus television stations and this will likely absorb any free time I might have to attempt my own film work as my responsibilities to the station will take precedence.
Two Projects and an Open Call January 29, 2007
I am formally announcing the projects End of Everything and Stranger. We had originally planned to shoot Stranger in December, but casting has forced us to delay the project until the summer, when we'll have more time. In the interim, I will be producing End of Everything. If you're in the San Diego area and interested in helping out on this project in any faculty, I've opened a page about the project which you can find here. (Link removed, see July 23 post.)
Open for Business September 30, 2006
This site is now officially open to the public. Design is kept fairly spartan for easy navigation and reading. My resumes can be found in my personal section. Most of my writing up until this point can be found in the writing section, including scripts, short stories, and off-the-cuff reviews of random things. In the visual section, you'll find overviews of my personal film work, a gallery of my non-film visual art, and news on any projects I am currently involved with. I hope you enjoy the site! |
